Sensors
If the controller is the brain of your system, then sensors, like the Hunter "Solar Sync" or "Mini weather station" are the eyes and ears, calculating evapotranspiration , measuring sunlight, wind, temperature and precipitation. Then sending that data to the controller to provide a customized watering program for your landscape.
Valves
Automatic sprinkler systems are designed using solenoid valves, assembled together in what we call a "manifold", and housed outdoors, in a dedicated , accessible "valve box" at ground level in the landscape. The valves receive a signal from the controller, and open up to allow water flow to specific landscape areas (zones) , like the lawn, flower beds or vegetable gardens.
Spray Heads
Fixed and adjustable (nozzle) pattern Pop Up Spray Heads are designed to apply water evenly over small or irregular shaped spaces . The ability to adjust the arc , the distance and the droplet size make it possible to all but eliminate over spray and water waste. Designing a system that delivers matched precipitation (water application) across the entire landscape is easy with Hunter pop-up sprays and nozzles.
Gear Driven Heads
For large grass areas, gear driven rotors are the most efficient way to distribute water to the landscape. Rotors , like sprays , are also designed and installed to provide head to head coverage , and deliver matched precipitation over large areas .
